Practice Makes Permanent

Practice Makes Permanent

We’ve all heard the old saying that “practice makes perfect”.

That’s kinda true. . .

But only if you’re practicing perfectly.

Because really, “practice makes permanent.”

Here’s why and how you can use that to your advantage.

Do you (or did you) play sports or a musical instrument?

If so you already know the importance of practicing. . .

Without practice, you can never get better.

But do you know that if you start practicing wrong, it will take much longer to improve?

Here’s why. . .

Practicing is actually creating a muscle memory in your body. . .Practice Makes Permanent

For example, when you swing a golf club repeatedly, your body “remembers” how you do it. . .

And this creates a muscle memory.

And that’s fine. . .¬† If you’re doing it right.

But if you’re not, then every time you tee off, you’re going to end up with a slice or a hook. . .

And once those muscle memories are created, they’re difficult to change.

So you need to do it right from the start.

Business Practice

It’s the same thing with your home based business. . .

If you start out doing very little in your business on a daily basis, you will actually develop the habit of doing very little in your business. . .

You’ll create a muscle memory of inaction.

This is going to end up with it taking you a long time to make money. . .

That is, if you ever do.

What will most likely happen is you’ll say that network marketing doesn’t work and give up. . .

And actually it’s you that hasn’t been working.

Make sure that you stay on track so you can succeed in your home business.

To do this, you need to practice the things that count.

Below is an action plan for you to practice daily.

Daily Action Plan to Practice:

1) Get on a self development program. . .

Spend 15 minutes each day reading a self development or business book.

Spend at least another 15 minutes listening to a motivational audio.
A good time to listen to audios is on your daily commute to work.

Doing this will help keep you headed where you want to go.
2) Remind yourself of the goals that you have. . .

Either write them down daily, or read them each morning and night before bed.

Reminding yourself of your goals is going to make it easier to practice the things you need to do in order to succeed.
3) Identify and schedule your daily activities. . .

Knowing what you need to do on a daily basis makes it easier to do it.

Phone calls. . .

Social media. . .

Lead generation. . .

Blogging. . .

email. . .

Make sure these activities are scheduled into your day. . .

This will help you keep on top of doing them.

Just don’t OVERDO them.

Don’t let yourself get distracted, especially with social media and email.

If social media’s your primary way of generating leads, you can spend more time on Facebook. . .

But make that time productive.

Remember, if you’re not practicing the right things, it’s going to be much harder to change your habits later.
