What’s Your Image

What’s Your Image?

What’s your image of yourself? And why does it matter?

The image that you hold of yourself determines who you are and how successful you’re going to be.

Whether the image you hold of yourself in your conscious mind is positive or negative, your subconscious mind is going to act on that image and create it in your life.

Because your subconscious has to make sure that your conscious mind is right . . .

After all you don’t want to make you a liar!

Image Is Everything

We all have an image of ourselves.

Actually, we have many . . .

We have an image of ourselves as an employee and as a boss . . .

We have an image of ourselves as a spouse, a parent, a sibling, and as someones child . . .

We have an image of ourselves as lovers, as drivers and as marketers . . .

We also have an image about how we look, how we dress, whether we’re overweight or not . . .

Everything about us is created by the image that we hold of ourselves.

And we might not even know that we have those images of ourselves . . .

We’ve become so used to them, we don’t notice they’re there.

So what I want you to do now is to write down every image that you hold of yourself on a piece of paper. Don’t worry, I’ll wait for you while you do it!

So what did you come up with?

Are the images that you hold of yourself positive or negative?
Maybe a little of both?

Maybe you have an image of yourself as a great driver but not a great marketer . . .
Or a wonderful spouse but a little overweight. That’s OK.

Next we’re going to work on changing the negative images to positive ones.

Time To Re-Imagine Yourself!

Go through the list that you’ve created. Get a separate piece of paper and draw a line down the middle, from top to bottom.

Next, write down all the negatives that you came up with on one side . . .

Now next to every negative image that you have write the exact opposite. By that I mean write it in the positive.

If you see yourself as being overweight, write instead “I am healthy and weigh my ideal weight of xxx pounds”.

Don’t focus on losing weight, because your subconscious mind is trained to look for things that you lose! Before you know it you’ll “find” that extra weight again!

Do this for every image that you have of yourself. Rewrite it in a positive way, in the way that is how you want to be.

Write things like “I am an expert marketer and generate 25 leads everyday”.

Don’t worry if you’re not there yet . . .

Once you change the image that you hold of yourself then you’ll start to live up to the new image.

Rip Yourself Up

The next thing I want you to do is to rip the paper with your list on it in half . . .

Then throw away the half of the paper that has the negative images on it . . .

You don’t need them anymore.

You only want to keep the positive images of your self. Make sure that everyday you read and reread these new positive images of who you are.

Realize that it took a long time to create the negative images that you’re getting rid of, so it will take some time to replace them with the new positive ones . . .

But it will take less time, because you’re doing it intentionally.

Most important of all, you have to believe the new images . . .

The best way to help you do that is to read them right before you go to bed and right after you get out of bed.

Those are the times that your subconscious mind is most receptive to new ideas. (That’s also why you shouldn’t watch or read the news at those times either!)

Please understand that you’re not going to see results on the first day that you do this.

Again it took time to create the images that you have of who you are, so it will take time to create new ones . . .

But in order to do that, you MUST read and reread the new images of yourself that you want EVERY SINGLE DAY!
Don’t, I repeat DON’T skip any days.¬†

Just keep on track and know that if you’re persistent and consistent you will replace the old images . . .

And when you do that, the “new” you will grow out of your new images!
